The open plan layout of each chalet which each accommodate two adults are appointed with a queen size bed and corner bay window bath overlooking the river. The chalets are fully equipped for self catering and include microwave, hot plate stove, fridge, fireplace and private patio braai.
Behind the dam in the centre of the horseshoe, slightly elevated is the communal lapa which has a heated whirlpool (30°C), a swimming pool, a grassy area ideal for a braai and then the inside braai and serving counter, ideal for chilly winters.
For safety reasons we insist that young children are supervised at all times as the river, the swimming pool, whirl pool and dam are unfenced and pose a drowning risk.
Pet owners need to know that our chalets are unfenced, we have both domestic livestock (cattle, sheep, horses etc) and wild animals on the property as well as our own dogs (who are very well socialised).
The pet owners are responsible for not only the safety and well being of their own animals but also those on the farm.
An unruly dog chasing sheep even if just for fun can have a devastating impact on the well being of potentially pregnant ewes.
Before accepting any bookings with pets, we do need to know the breed of dog, it size and level of obedience.
Our policy is strictly a NO loud music /noise policy.
Check out time is officially 10am on the day of departure – however, please check with reservations office / reception as if there is no one booked to come in on the day of departure we will agree to a later time.
If you arrive after hours, your chalet key will be left in envelope in the post box at reception with your name and the chalet number. From reception follow the signs to the chalets.
